Dace Dislere
Founder/Principal/Broker
Dace Dislere has over 10 years experience running residential property management businesses. Prior to founding PPG in 2004, she was the General Manager for San Francisco-based Citywide Property Management. Dace is a licensed real estate broker (CA DRE Lic.01330950) and serves on the board of directors of the Professional Property Management Association of San Francisco. She is also a member of the San Francisco Association of Realtors, the California Association of Realtors, the San Francisco Apartment Association, the National Association of Residential Property Management and the California Apartment Association. Dace began her career at Arthur Andersen in the Business Process Risk Consulting group. She graduated Cum Laude with a BS in Business Administration and Finance from the University of San Francisco.
Joe Gillach
Principal
Joe Gillach has over 20 years experience owning and managing multi-unit residential properties in the San Francisco Bay Area. Prior to joining Progressive Property Group, Joe was a Principal at Ratel Investments, a Tiburon, CA-based private real estate investment firm where he was responsible for asset management of Ratel’s portfolio of multi-family investments whose combined value exceeded $400 million. Following completion of his MBA, Joe worked for the management consulting firm Booz-Allen & Hamilton. He began his career at ABC News in Washington D.C as a reportorial reporter for the ABC Weekend News and This Week with David Brinkley programs. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Marin Agricultural Land Trust and the advisory boards of the Marin County Housing Development Financing Corporation and the Marin Housing Development Corporation. Joe holds a BA in European History from Georgetown University and an MBA from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Finance.
Kirk Shephard
Manager of Leasing & Maintenance Services
With 25 years in the construction industry, Kirk Shephard started his career building a single family home in the Northern California town of Willits. He has carried that knowledge with him as a sales person and recently in business development for a high end residential electrical contractor. His background in construction has proven to be valuable as the head of maintenance. His customer service background helps him as a licensed realtor and leasing agent and a belief of providing individualized service to every client.
John McCoy
Co-Founder, Progressive Property Group, Palm Springs
John McCoy has an extensive background in the design and management of residential projects. Prior to co-founding the Palm Springs office of Progressive Property Group, John worked as a Landscape Architect and Lighting Designer on a variety of single-family homes, private estates and large-scale commercial and residential development projects both in the Bay Area and the Coachella Valley. In addition to exercising his creative talent in the area of design, John was able to develop his financial skills and polish his business acumen while working in the field of personal financial planning. It’s a perfect combination, making for a natural progression to property management where he assists clients in maximizing the investment potential of their real estate holdings. John graduated with a BS in Landscape Architecture from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and is a licensed Landscape Architect and California Real Estate Salesperson.
Emily Freeman
Co-Founder, Progressive Property Group, Palm Springs
Long time real estate investor and property owner, Emily Freeman has over 15 years experience buying, renovating and selling property in addition to managing her own multi-unit property. Emily is a licensed real estate salesperson in the state of California (DRE# 01901038), a Certified Manager of Community Associations and a member of the Community Associations Institute. Prior to moving to Palm Springs in 2007, Emily lived in Los Angeles for over 20 years. When forced to work in support of her real estate habit, she had a long and successful career in television as a producer, director and executive. Before leaving LA, she spent several years launching and running the West Coast office of Discovery Studios, overseeing various productions for the Discovery Networks. After arriving in the desert Emily turned her attention to more entrepreneurial endeavors, working as a consultant for several small business start-ups. She collaborated with the owners on shaping image and branding along with implementing marketing and business development plans as well as overseeing product launches. Emily graduated Magna Cum Laude with a B.A. in American Politics from Georgetown University.
